Governance

Clinex is built around safe practice, clear accountability, and respectful care. We provide credentialed nursing capacity delivered under referrer-led clinical governance, with a defined scope of practice, clear SLAs, disciplined escalation pathways, and consistent documentation standards.

Our workforce compliance wrappers and robust information-governance controls make it operationally easy for partners to scale capacity while maintaining oversight, managing risk, and protecting patient information.

Clinical accountability

Our nurses deliver care in line with the clinical plan established by the referring service.

  •  We work to the referrer’s protocols, documentation standards and agreed escalation pathways
  • PAYE-employed nurses to support dependable continuity and governance
  • If a patient deteriorates, experiences an adverse reaction, or there is any vascular access/line concern, the nurse escalates immediately via the agreed route
  • The referring clinician/service remains the provider of record, unless formally agreed otherwise in writing

Who we deploy

We only deploy nurses whose competence matches the role, setting and clinical requirements.

  • NMBI registration is verified and monitored
  • Garda Vetting is completed where required for the service
  • Identity, qualifications and references are validated
  • Nurses complete a practical induction covering documentation standards, escalation pathways, and the actions required if a patient’s condition changes or any concern arises

Quality and safety in day-to-day delivery

We keep governance practical, visible and accountable.

  • Clear visit documentation and structured handover to the referring service
  • Incident, safeguarding and complaints pathways that staff understand and follow
  • Review of feedback, incidents and service issues to support continuous improvement

Infection prevention and safe practice

Home and community care still demands hospital-level infection prevention standards.

  • Standard precautions applied at every visit, with aseptic technique where clinically indicated
  • PPE used appropriately for the task and in line with the referrer’s guidance
  • Prompt escalation for suspected infection, vascular access/line-site concerns, or unexpected symptoms

Infusion and IV support

Where Clinex is commissioned to support infusion-related care, our nurses deliver treatment strictly in line with the prescribed plan and agreed protocols.

Administration and monitoring in accordance with the prescription and agreed protocol

Ongoing observation for adverse effects, with prompt escalation via the agreed pathway when required.
Line-site assessment and basic line care within the agreed protocol.

Administration and monitoring in line with the prescription and protocol

Observation for side effects and escalation if needed

Line/site checks and basic line care (e.g., dressing checks, flushing) only where this is part of the agreed service

Our nurses are supported. Our partners are protected.

We maintain a robust suite of written policies that underpin safe, consistent delivery across all settings—including GDPR and confidentiality, incident and complaints reporting, infection prevention and control (IPC), safeguarding, documentation standards, and workforce compliance.
